Gutter Installation
Evidence of rotten fascia boards, rafter tails, barge boards, or soffit may not always be noticeable until gutters are removed. If rot or other damage is discovered, we will advise for the next steps. All color selections must be made by the Owner. Visual grade may look different due to sagging or settling of the home in areas. Owner may be able to see daylight behind the gutters. Flashing on metal roofs must be held out 1/8” or gutters need to be installed prior. Downspout locations will be in the same location unless otherwise specified. Screw holes and paint lines from the old gutters and downspouts are not the
responsibility of the Contractor.
Gutter Cleaning
Gutters and downspouts will be cleaned. Debris will be disposed of. Minor repairs will be made to the gutter system at the discretion of the Contractor.
Damage
Contractor is not responsible for unintentional damage resulting from performance of services. This includes damage to roof tiles and metal roofs. Contractor will take caution to avoid breaking tiles and other items. Walking on metal roofs will be avoided unless necessary.
Warranty and Guarantee
Gutter Seattle warranties the installation of the gutter system against leaks for a period of EIGHT (8) years from the date of completion. Gutter Seattle warranties the material of the gutter system against leaks for a period of TWENTY (20) years from the date of completion. Gutter Seattle is not responsible for damages caused by other parties altering or damage done to the roofing, or its adjoining parts. Gutter Seattle is also not responsible for damage caused to the gutters or its adjoining parts due to acts of nature such as wind or snow damaged. Be advised that snow breaks are advisable to be installed on all metal roofs. Please remember to check your system for clogs from debris prior to calling us for warranty issues such as leaks or grading issues. We will charge fees if we find repairs due to clogged gutters or downspouts. It is the homeowner’s
responsibility to assess the gutters before calling our office for a repair. All metal surfaces can display waviness referred to as “oil canning”. This is caused by steel mill tolerances and variations in the substrate relative reflectivity of the material. Oil canning is an inherent characteristic of all steel and aluminum products, not a defect. On hot days, the gutter will tend to “oil can” and as the sun goes down and or the temperature, the gutter will return to its original form. If at any time within 30 days of your gutter cleaning, your gutters become blocked, we will clean your gutters again at no extra charge.
